MAIN ROADS WA CONCESSIONAL LOADING SCHEME

The purpose of this scheme is to create increased transport productivity for ongoing high volume transport operations between fixed loading and delivery points. The scheme allows increased triaxle group loading together with no overloading on other axle groups resulting in increased payload for no increase in road deterioration for a transport task.

The productivity gains that can be achieved by CLS operations are dependant upon the ability to control loading accurately. For example, a six axle articulated truck permitted to operate at a maximum of 23.5 tonnes triaxle group loading under this scheme has the maximum potential gross combination mass of 46.0 tonnes. However, when meeting the compliance requirements of this scheme, the average gross combination mass will be less that 46.0 tonnes and with good loading control it may be in order of 44.0 – 45.0 tonnes.

There are two ways of meeting the requirements as follows:

  • Quality System Certification ISO:9000

  • Quality Plan
